after a manic couple of weeks at school, i lucked out with a six-day weekend – a combination of the thanksgiving holiday and a snow day. yay!

Hello eclaire readers! I’m Emilie’s sister-in-law, Laura. While Emilie is off slaving away over her books and (I’m sure) generally rocking at graduate school, I thought I would share a recipe that has been in our family for years!
we’re finally settled into our new place! and the kitchen is officially up and running, which is super exciting. we’ve made lots of salads so far, plus a riff off of ragout over polenta.
well here we are, one week later, much more packed than when i last wrote, and much much closer to moving!!
two years ago this week, i opened my laptop and began blogging about food, excited to share my favorite baked goods, dinners, breakfasts, and side dishes with all of you, my friends and family (and whomever else might stumble upon this website – hi, if that’s you! please leave me a comment and let me know you’re here!). since the inception of eclaire.name, back in july of 2008, i’ve posted 115 recipes. i have loved writing stories and anecdotes about where i found the recipes, and why i love to make the dishes.
