i love cooking and baking, and most of the time this hobby completely enthralls me. i love the routine mike and i have created of working, going to the gym, then coming home and preparing a delicious dinner together. i love taking photos as we prepare the meal, and thinking about how i’ll present the recipe to all of you.
i love all things with fruit and butter and sugar – crisps, tarts, pies, cobbler – you name it, and i’ll bet that i love it!
i know pumpkin recipes are ubiquitous this time of year, but i just have to share this pumpkin bread recipe with you. it’s everything i want in a breakfast bread – moist, full of delicious spices, not too sweet, and replete with pecans and raisins to add some texture. when i realized that my weekend would be full of fun with my family – my sister flew in from michigan, my dad and b drove into town to spend some time with us on saturday, and we celebrated my mom’s 60th birthday on sunday – i decided i had to whip some of this up to munch on throughout the activities.
friends, i’m about to admit something very strange to you. i am in love with this rice. head over heels crazy about it. shout it from the rooftops obsessed. i know, i know, it’s just rice. but it is amazing.
