as i mentioned in my last post, i’ve been lucky enough to get some recommendations for recipes from friends and family lately. my mom sent me this one, and it’s absolutely delicious!
this is a far departure from the yummy egg- and butter-laden chocolate cake my mom posted for y’all last week.
i think we can all agree that it’s officially holiday season. and what that means for many of us (or most of us, i’m guessing, especially if you’re reading this site) is baking tons of cookies. my favorites are sugar cookies and krumkakes (traditional norwegian cookies).
i love cooking and baking, and most of the time this hobby completely enthralls me. i love the routine mike and i have created of working, going to the gym, then coming home and preparing a delicious dinner together. i love taking photos as we prepare the meal, and thinking about how i’ll present the recipe to all of you.
way back in october, while answering the door for trick or treaters, i had a conversation with nancy about a cooking demonstration she watched online (via cook’s illustrated) in which she learned several tips for making perfect peanut butter cookies. during the course of our chat, i realized that i have never made peanut butter cookies. this may not sound like a big deal, but they are mike’s favorite cookie in the whole world, and peanut butter is one of my all time favorite foods. so how is it possible i’ve never made them?
