i am feeling pretty darn homesick for california these days. i don’t know if it’s because i have more time to think while prepping for my last final (because two of my classes are DONE!!). or maybe it’s because we aren’t going back to california for spring break. or perhaps it’s because we’re missing two of our closest friends’ 30th bdays (happy birthday, jamie and tyler!!), and we’re also missing both of our dads’ birthdays (happy birthday, chuck and dad!).
i hope you all enjoyed the guest post from my amazing husband last week! i’m a lucky woman to be married to someone who loves cooking as much as i do, and who offered to write a guest post so i could work on a paper!!
friends, it’s hard for me to admit that i have writer’s block. i’m not sure if it’s all the traveling, or the spending time with amazing friends and family back in california (you can imagine how much talking, catching up, and fun activities we did together), or if it’s the super fast beginning of winter quarter……but man, writer’s block is in full force here!
i think we can all agree that it’s officially holiday season. and what that means for many of us (or most of us, i’m guessing, especially if you’re reading this site) is baking tons of cookies. my favorites are sugar cookies and krumkakes (traditional norwegian cookies).
whew, it’s been a whirlwind couple of weeks! finals are done, one quarter (out of 6) of grad school is complete, we went to victoria on a spur of the moment mini-vacation, then we packed our bags, hopped a flight, and we’re back in ca!
