I'm honestly not sure what tahini adds to hummus, as the flavor is so subtle, and when I make this recipe, I definitely don't taste any missing flavors...I've made this hummus for every holiday party I attended or hosted this year, and got great reviews, so you should try it - I bet you won't be disappointed. :) @Andrew: Great question!
