I think you need to do a post for your pancake recipe…the couple bites I had of yours a few months back were really good. I want the recipe. I think they had oatmeal in them?

@mike: i’m glad you enjoyed the post and the waffles! thank you SO MUCH for everything you did on eclaire.name!

@lp: that’s funny – i was thinking more about mom’s house, but we had them all the time (and still have them!) at dad’s. at least waffle makers have lights to indicate when they’re done – and not smoke detectors like when pancakes were made!! (dad, you know we’re joking, right?)

@BB: after years of having my normal pastry brushes lose hairs in what i was greasing, i picked the silicone one up. i find that it’s not 100% as great as a normal brush (the silicone “hairs” are quite a bit thicker), but it does the job well and i give it an overall B+.

I can attest that these waffles are great, since they were made for us recently. Thanks again. I noticed that you were using a silicone pastry brush to oil the grill. I’ve always wondered if these work well. Any feedback you’d like to share?

a bit unrelated but the google ads on the side of this post said “how to whiten teeth” and “how to lose 35 pounds”. i guess google thinks that those are appropriate for your blog.

the waffles remind me of mornings at dad’s! (except, probably yours aren’t burned to a crisp)
